MEN BUYING TIGHTS SURVEY: WHAT ARE YOUR PREFERRED HOSIERY BRANDS?

In our recent MEN BUYING TIGHTS survey we asked you to name the brands that you like to buy.

Here is what you told us:

Well one things stands out here for everyone to see: Wolford are by far and away the most popular brand of tights being bought by men.

If you reference back to the findings on what men are looking for when they buy tights, you will note that key factors identified were fit, larger sizes, durability and above all, tights that are comfortable to wear and feel good. Wolford clearly ticks all these boxes and lots of you are buying Wolford!

The next most popular brand was FALKE. Again perhaps not a surprise given their reputation for quality and generous sizing options.

The other brands that significant numbers of you are buying are:

Aristoc

Cecilia De Rafael

Charnos

Marks & Spencer

Oroblu

Pretty Polly

Trasparenze

Here are some of the other brands that you said you are buying:

Ames Walker, Therafirm, Eurotard, Gatta, Veneziana, Omsa, Dim, Conte, Sarah Borghi, Platino, Danskin, Capezio, We Love Colors, Stop & Stare, Pompea, Atsugi, Ambra, Giulia, Vogue, Berkshire , Cervin, MeMoi, Voodoo, Coolants, Filodoro, JolieFolie, Gabriella, Penti

  1. What a fascinating read the survey results have been; and what is readily apparent is that men are spending a considerable amount of money on tights and are quite discerning when it comes to making their choice of purchase. This information should please Wolford but also be an incentive to others that there is huge market potential if they are willing to meet our expectations and probably even more if they were to be more gender neutral in their marketing and packaging.
Thanks for making the effort to undertake this study - much appreciated.
    Happy New Year!

  2. Yes George, hopefully other brands will pay attention. They only need to think, reflect and make some doable changes in marketing. Glad you found the survey interesting.
