Reviewed: Falke Cosyshoe

The German hosiery manufacturer Falke are not just famous for tights and other legwear. We found this out recently when looking at the selection of Falke products that are available from retailer Luxury Legs.

Luxury Legs also stock a great range of Falke socks for men, including the Falke Cosyshoe. This blog is a huge fan of Falke products, especially their superb tights which are wonderful products for men and women.

When we saw the Falke Cosyshoes we wanted them right away! Here is our review.

Material and features

Luxury Legs describe the Falke Cosyshoe as:

'Unisex slipper sock made of fine, soft merino wool with non-slip felt sole with anatomical left and right toe. Turn-over-top for additional hold, cosy, warm and plush inside.'

The sock part of the Falke Cosyshoe is made from 90% virgin merino wool and 10% polyamide. The sole is made from 96% polyester and 4% polypropylen.

As can been seen in the photos, the Cosyshoe is designed to be a sock or slipper sock with a sole, designed to be worn at home. Falke describes them as a 'feel good homeshoe'.

The wool sock part is very soft and thick. The material is warm and very cosy, as you would expect from the name.

There is right and left cosyshoe, with the right shoe having a Falke tag.

The sock part is reinforced in the ankle area with elastane, and this provides a close fit with no wrinkling.

The sole is made from felt and has a well-designed rubber pattern that provides a non-slip surface.

Fit and sizing
The Falke Cosyshoe is available from Luxury Legs in five sizes:

UK size 3 - 5 (EU 35 - 38)
UK size 5.5 - 6.5 (EU 39 - 40)
UK size 7 - 8 (EU 41 - 42)
UK size 8.5 - 9.5 (EU 43 - 44)
UK size 10 - 11 (EU 45 - 46)

I bought a pair in UK size 10 -11, which is my shoe size.

The fit was perfect for my size. Unlike socks, the Cosyshoe provides support around the ankle, and the sole makes for a comfortable wearing experience on any surface in the home.

I found the Cosyshoe to be comfortable with bare feet, or worn with opaque or semi-sheer tights. The tights worn here are the superb HYD Millenium 70 Denier Matt Opaque Tights, that are available exclusively at Luxury Legs, and which we have previously reviewed.

Colour range
The Falke Cosyshoe is available from Luxury Legs in two colours:

  • Black
  • Light Grey
I bought them in the Black colour.

The Falke website indicates that the Cosyshoes are available in other colours. I am sure that Luxury Legs will be able to order any alternative colour that a customer requires from Falke.

Price and availability
The Falke Cosyshoe is priced at £20.00 at Luxury Legs.

Conclusion
The Falke Cosyshoe is another great product from Falke. Everything from the brand seems to be so well-designed with attention to every detail.

The Cosyshoe is perfect for the colder weather that is now here and a very good alternative to traditional slippers. I am sure there are other slipper socks available, but I can't see how these can be bettered, especially for the price which strikes me as very reasonable indeed.

I know it's a bit of a cliche to get slippers for Christmas, but these would make a perfect gift to give or receive. Highly recommended.
