Your reviews are very helpful.
Re the Wolford 70, I just bought several pair from UK Tights. I am 6' 1" and weigh 225, so sometimes XL will not fit. But the Wolford 70s were perfect. And like u described they have great opaque coverage thru out the tights.
The Wolford 50s also fit me quite well. The softness of those tights is incredible. It feels like you have nothing on at all....
The Wolford Neon 40s also fit perfectly. They actually would fit someone taller than me.
The Wolford Satin Opaque did not fit me as well. Maybe they don't have as much stretch as the 50s and 70s.
Seems like Wolford is expanding their XL production. Great for all of us!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-798304669345796302.post-52821552383848228182012-09-03T10:24:03.222+01:002012-09-03T10:24:03.222+01:00I do have de luxe 55 and 50? The 50 is wee lighter but look great with denim shorts and 66 is wee thicket which is strong enough also very soft as velvet, i have too many wolfors tights included fatal 50, matt opaque 80, cotton velvet, deluxe 50 and 66 plus one is flight tights that was years ago before it stopped produced... i wear tights with women shorter shorts, hotpants and mini skirts that make yer legs look nicely, wear shorter shorts rather than long shorts to show your legs more nicely., opaque 70 is wee same as de luxe 66 and difference is by 4 deiner between these tights.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-798304669345796302.post-46207268157479698532011-12-14T18:57:42.499+00:002011-12-14T18:57:42.499+00:00Other factors are the fabric, the fit and the matt...Other factors are the fabric, the fit and the matt appearance. Or are there other qualities, like being more matte in appearance? Also... you mentioned how the Velvet De Luxe 50 sizes much taller than the Opaque 70. Does the Velvet De Luxe 66 size the same as the 50?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-798304669345796302.post-11435409199072750422011-12-10T10:37:18.894+00:002011-12-10T10:37:18.894+00:00Yes I have a pair of the Velvet De Luxe 66. Out of all the Wolford range of opaque tights I would go for the OPAQUE 70s.Hosiery For Menhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12140889008055624236noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-798304669345796302.post-68209500080520124892011-12-09T20:03:24.888+00:002011-12-09T20:03:24.888+00:00Have you also tried the Velvet De Luxe 66? The size chart for the Velvet De Luxe 50 tights is the same as the others. But as I say, the pair that I bought did seem to come up significantly larger.Hosiery For Menhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12140889008055624236noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-798304669345796302.post-45474317006886871462011-12-08T23:52:33.378+00:002011-12-08T23:52:33.378+00:00Thanks for letting me know about the sizing. Any of the girlfriends I've had would probably have found the XL too large as well.

Do you think the Velvet De Luxe 50 XL sizing is the same as for the 66?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-798304669345796302.post-57396536985742980222011-12-08T08:45:05.368+00:002011-12-08T08:45:05.368+00:00Thanks tights4men. I feel that they probably would stretch for someone a little taller but perhaps not for anyone over 6'. Strangely, I also have a pair of the Velvet De Luxe 50 tights in XL and they come up much much larger and would easily fit someone taller. With other XL sizes Wolford in pretty much spot on.Hosiery For Menhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12140889008055624236noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-798304669345796302.post-48793846795657677462011-12-07T23:09:41.645+00:002011-12-07T23:09:41.645+00:00I have some Wolford Fatal 50s. My only complaint is they should extend the size range, for taller blokes such as myself, as well as an 188cm lady I know. The tights themselves are simply exquisite. I've also found that if you introduce lady friends to Wolfords, they suddenly become tights lovers, if they weren't already. Pricey, but very fine productstactiliciousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-798304669345796302.post-39840357900574241892011-12-07T20:32:21.481+00:002011-12-07T20:32:21.481+00:00Nice review with a lot of useful details--thanks!
...Nice review with a lot of useful details--thanks!

I'm curious to know... you find that the XL size fits you very well, being 5'10"/178cm. Wolford never seems to have a size accommodating 6'/183cm. Does it feel like these could stretch to fit, without sacrificing much opacity? Or is Wolford pretty much spot-on with their sizing, where 5'10" is the 'comfortable' limit? Also, out of curiosity, what is your weight? Thanks.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
