Reviewed: Pretty Polly Curves Smooth Leggings

Thanks to Pretty Polly for sending us a further product from the plus size Curves range to trial and review.



Pretty Polly’s Curves range is a specialist collection designed to comfortably fit the curvier figure up to UK dress size 32 (60 EU, 28 US).

We have already reviewed the Pretty Polly Curves 200 Denier Fleecy Tights.

We now focus on the Pretty Polly Curves Smooth Leggings.





Packaging

The Pretty Polly Curves Smooth Leggings are wrapped inside a single piece of rectangle card. This is then housed in a polythene bag.





Material and features

The Pretty Polly Curves Smooth Leggings are made in Ukraine. The yarn is 93% Nylon and 7% Elastane.

They are quite a substantial garment, and you can feel that as soon as you remove them from the packaging.

The material is quite thick, but they are not over heavy or bulky. They feel smooth and soft against the skin.

Leg coverage is totally opaque. In appearance they are matte with no shine

The brief section has no central seam. There is a seam that runs on the inside leg, and a seams around the gusset that has been added for fit and comfort.

The brief has a depth of 34cm from the top of the waistband to the gusset.

There is a superbly designed 7cm waistband, designed for maximum comfort. There are no labels sewn into the inside of the waistband, so this also cuts down on irritation and improves comfort.



Legs are shaped anatomically to taper downwards from the thigh to the ankle. The leggings are finished at the ankle with a 3cm wide cuff.



Sizing, fit and wearing experience

The Pretty Polly Curves Smooth Leggings are available in two sizes XL and XXL.



I wore the XL size.

The fit was excellent in every respect. There was plenty of leg room and no need to overstretch the fabric. Indeed, the XL would comfortably fit someone taller than my 5'10".

These leggings give complete opaque coverage on the leg, and are really cosy. If worn with shorts, they insulate well from cold wind and low temperatures. Trust me - I wore them out on a very cold day and my legs stayed warm.

The brief is really impressive. It has loads of depth and the waistband sill stretch comfortable above the waist and hips. The waistband itself is very comfortable and didn't roll down.
